Darren Fletcher says he has been given ‘zero indications’ over who will manage Manchester United through the remainder of the season. Fletcher was placed in interim charge on Monday when Ruben Amorim was axed by the Red Devils. The former United midfielder was handed the reins for two matches in which he failed to win. Fletcher oversaw a 2-2 draw at Burnley on Wednesday before Brighton knocked United out of the FA Cup at Old Trafford on Sunday. In the wake of that defeat, Fletcher says he is yet to discover from the club’s hierarchy whether he or someone else…

Out of the cup and, if reports around their managerial search are to be believed, Manchester United are completely out of ideas. Darren Fletcher’s two-game spell as the interim-interim manager concluded with the Red Devils’ first ever FA Cup defeat to Brighton. Which sounds stark, but the wrong context in which to view this latest defeat. The Seagulls have now won four of their last five visits to AmEx North. Losing at home to Brighton is just one of those things that Manchester United do. Not to worry, though, Reds because here comes Ole Gunner Solskjaer and/or Michael Carrick. Just…

Ally McCoist believes there’s an “acceptance” of where Manchester United now are, as caretaker boss Darren Fletcher has admitted his players are “fragile.” Reports suggest that United want their new manager in the door by next weekend, when they face rivals Manchester City. That’s probably for the best after the ignominy of Fletcher’s two-game spell. In the wake of the sacking of Ruben Amorim, Fletcher led United to a 2-2 Premier League draw to 19th-placed Burnley, before they lost to Brighton in the third round of the FA Cup. United went 1-0 down in the 12th minute, and former Red…

Steve McManaman feels Manchester United need a “clean slate” which means for only one of Michael Carrick or Ole Gunnar Solskjaer taking the vacant manager’s role. United are currently on the hunt for a new manager after seeing the back of Ruben Amorim.
