Everything you need to know, including expected lineups, how to watch and predictions, as Manchester United face Bournemouth in the Premier League.
Thirty years ago, Europe commanded nearly a fifth of the global semiconductor market. Today it holds less than 10%, and the UK’s share has shrunk to barely half a percent. On paper, that looks like failure. In reality, the picture is more complex. Beneath these headline numbers sits a set of capabilities, quiet, highly specialised, and globally relevant. How can the UK build on these? The first step is recognising that the UK is not trying to win the semiconductor race on every front. It can’t, and it shouldn’t. Instead, the country has embraced a niche strategy, focusing on areas where it can lead the world.…
Wayne Rooney doubts Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca will get any protection from the club’s board after his “very strange” comments after their win over Everton. Goals from Cole Palmer and Malo Gusto secured a 2-0 win over the Toffees and moved the Blues up to fourth in the Premier League table. Bizarrely, Maresca described the build-up to the match at Stamford Bridge as “the worst 48 hours” in his reign at Chelsea before refusing to clarify who the comments were aimed at. Maresca told reporters: “The last 48 hours have been the worst 48 hours since I joined the club because…
Chinese manufacturer Changan, which recently entered the UK market, is considering a “dream machine” to help build its brand in Europe. The state-backed firm traces its roots back to arms manufacturing in the 1860s. It began building Jeeps under licence in the 1950s before developing its own models in the 1980s, and it has had an R&D centre in the UK since 2010. It’s currently in the process of launching in the UK retail market with the Deepal S07 electric crossover, soon to be followed by the smaller Deepal S05. Speaking to Autocar, Changan design boss Klaus Zyciora – who at Volkswagen oversaw the creation…
Image: Adobe Stock Enterprise software firm ServiceNow has entered advanced negotiations to acquire cybersecurity company Armis for up to $7 billion, marking what could become the company’s largest acquisition in history. The deal could be announced within days, according to Bloomberg, potentially reshaping the cybersecurity landscape at a time when enterprises are scrambling to defend against unprecedented threats. This acquisition would dwarf ServiceNow’s previous record of $2.85 billion for Moveworks, signaling an aggressive push into the booming cybersecurity market that has seen explosive growth throughout 2025. A $7 billion prize Armis, founded by Israeli military cyber intelligence veterans in 2016,…
The aim for all software developer team leaders is to find a happy place where developers spend their day developing and deploying code. The platform team supports the work of those software developers, observing and responding to their needs. However, the job of a software developer today is about more than just writing code. Thanks to the prevalence of DevOps, software developers tend to have a huge responsibility: they own the feature development, bug fixes, deployment pipeline, performance monitoring, cloud infrastructure and security of their code. Software development trends are constantly adapting to help software teams keep pace with…
Ruben Amorim has responded to criticism from Paul Scholes with the former Man Utd midfielder claiming the Red Devils head coach is not “the right man”. Man Utd beat Wolves last Monday 4-1 for their second win in six matches to push them up the table and if they beat Bournemouth tonight they can move level on points with fourth-placed Chelsea. The Red Devils have been underwhelming this season with just seven wins from 15 getting them into eighth position in a congested Premier League table. Man Utd legend Scholes is far from convinced by Amorim after the Portuguese coach’s…

Skoda isn’t ruling out a full-blown comeback for the Fabia vRS, despite the hot hatch having been axed in 2014 due to sluggish sales. The Czech brand told Autocar that a revival remains possible if market conditions swing back in favour of small performance models. “There are currently no plans to offer a Fabia vRS, but we will continue to monitor customer demand,” a spokesperson confirmed. Behind the scenes, engineers are understood to be enthusiastic about the idea. A new vRS model would give Skoda the chance to demonstrate the potential of the Fabia’s platform while tapping into the firm’s impressive motorsport…
From 1997 to 2005, the Carmageddon series brought an explosive destruction derby to PCs, consoles, and handhelds through a trilogy of games and a couple of spin-offs. In 2014, Stainless Games revitalized the long-dormant franchise through Carmageddon: Reincarnation, and followed it up two years later with Carmageddon: Max Damage, but the series has been quiet ever since. Today, during the PC Gaming Show, that changed, as a new spin-off entry, Carmageddon: Rogue Shift, was announced. As the name implies, Carmageddon: Rogue Shift adds a roguelite twist to the arcade-style vehicular combat of the series. True to that style of gameplay, you…
