Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah could leave in the January transfer window if Antoine Semenyo arrives at Anfield from Bournemouth, according to reports. The Reds have been back in form over the last week or so with Arne Slot’s men beating Inter Milan in the Champions League before a 2-0 win over Brighton in the Premier League last week. It has been a testing period for Liverpool which has seen them win just six of their last 17 matches in all competitions and they had the added complication in recent weeks of Salah’s dissatisfaction. After being put on the bench for…
Not atypically for a British driving fan, I think the hot hatch is the best type of car you can buy. For getting your dynamic kicks on our narrow B-roads, riddled as they are with crater-sized potholes, you want something that’s highly manoeuvrable, practical, affordable and still exciting to drive. And in my opinion, those wearing the coveted Renault Sport badge are the undisputed champions of the game, especially when it comes to delivering on that last criterion. Ignoring the ill-fated and slightly peculiar Sport Spider of 1995, the first model to leave Dieppe with a Renault Sport (later Renaultsport)…
Image: Adobe Stock Whitehall has fallen on black days as the UK’s diplomatic headquarters revealed it suffered a devastating cyberattack. Chris Bryant, the Foreign Office minister, delivered the news to Parliament yesterday (Dec. 18), confirming what cybersecurity experts had long suspected. Speaking to Times Radio, Bryant acknowledged “there certainly has been a hack” while stopping short of directly attributing the attack to Chinese operatives or the Chinese state. The revelation comes at a time when diplomatic communications carry unprecedented weight. With international tensions escalating and the UK navigating complex trade relationships, the Foreign Office handles everything from classified intelligence sharing…
Two recently disclosed vulnerabilities discovered in Fortinet’s product portfolio have prompted a pre-holiday warning for defenders after being added to the Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV) catalogue run by the US’ national cyber agency this week. The two flaws, tracked as CVE-2025-59718 and CVE-2025-59719, enable a threat actor to bypass FortiCloud single sign-on (SSO) authentication via a maliciously crafted security assertion markup language (SAML) message. According to Fortinet, they are present in multiple versions of FortiOS, FortiWeb, FortiProxy and FortiSwitchManager. It should be noted that while the vulnerable feature is not enabled by default in factory settings, it does activate…
Two-player games are great. Co-op games are great. What about both!? In Sky Team, two players represent a pilot and co-pilot trying to land a plane — and let me tell you, after a couple of rounds, you’ll understand why some people applaud after landing. Each round, you’ll both roll four dice and assign them to tasks in the cockpit. You’ll need to reduce your speed, deploy landing gear, communicate with the control tower and make sure you have enough coffee. My favorite thing about Sky Team is how quickly you and your partner get into a rhythm: by the…

A Uganda prison officer has been sacked for criticising the government on TikTok, in a rare move authorities said amounted to “gross indiscipline”. Lawrence Ampe had been under investigation over social media posts accusing senior government officials of corruption, human rights abuses and mistreatment of lower-ranking prison officers. “The standing orders don’t allow a public officer to participate in politics, which he is doing even now,” prisons spokesman Frank Baine told the BBC, saying Ampe was sacked for “politicking in the wrong forum”.The opposition has condemned the move, describing it as evidence of “systemic oppression” and double standards within the…
Man Utd midfielder Kobbie Mainoo is open to a permanent move away from Old Trafford as he doesn’t see a future at Old Trafford under Ruben Amorim, according to reports. The England international has not started in the Premier League for Man Utd this term with Ruben Amorim preferring other players in midfield. Mainoo, who has been linked with a loan move to Napoli, has made 11 appearances off the substitutes’ bench in the Premier League – but his only start in all competitions came as Man Utd were knocked out of the League Cup on penalties by Grimsby Town earlier this year.…
The Roma came as a bit of a shock when it was launched. With its minimal detailing, solid-looking front grille and body panels that looked like they were under tension, it was divisive. Some said that it looked like an Aston Martin, others that it lacked aggression. I for one thought it was one of the most beautiful Ferraris in years. This new one clearly has to fall in line with a fresh era of Ferrari design. There’s no obvious front grille at all. The Amalfi swaps it for a body-coloured ‘wing’ and a gloss black bar running between the headlights. In…
The Post Office has issued information and instructions to its branch network regarding an issue with Horizon, six years after it began “fobbing off” a subpostmaster who raised concerns about it on numerous occasions. After pressure from Computer Weekly and forensic investigator Ron Warmington, the Post Office finally investigated the issue, first raised in June 2019, about a defect in Horizon that could create unexplained account shortfalls in branches. The issue, branded the “part cash” defect by Denis O’Donnell, the former subpostmaster who raised concerns with the Post Office, was likely to have seen some customers, for decades, receive…
