Image: Envato After months of organizations deploying AI agents without proper security frameworks, OWASP released its first-ever “Top 10 for Agentic Applications” for 2026. Security experts discovered that during their investigation, many organizations already have agentic solutions deployed without IT and security teams even knowing about it. These aren’t simple chatbots anymore—these AI agents access data and tools and carry out tasks, making them infinitely more capable and dangerous to enterprises. Security stakes are orders of magnitude higher than previous technologies, with compromised agents capable of manipulating financial markets or sabotaging infrastructure. This framework emerged from input by over 100…
Westminster City Council has said that “potentially sensitive and personal” data was stolen by hackers during the cyber attack that hit three neighbouring London authorities last month. Westminster is part of a shared IT services operation with the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC), with all three affected by the attack, which was first detected on 24 November. RBKC said four days later that it had experienced a data breach during the attack, but Westminster has now confirmed that, following further examination, its data was copied and taken by a…
TikTok to spin off its American business, and others. This should keep the popular social media app available in the US for good, capping off years of drama. We now have some new data as to the specifics of the deal. Nearly 50 percent of assets will be split between three companies. Oracle, Silver Lake and MGX will each control around 15 percent of the newly-formed entity. It’s worth noting that MGX isn’t an American company at all, but rather Abu Dhabi’s state-owned investment firm. The rest will remain in the hands of affiliates of TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance. Man Utd were the frontrunners to sign Al-Hilal midfielder Ruben Neves in the January transfer window until Real Madrid joined the race, according to reports. Despite their inconsistent form, which has seen them win just two of their last seven matches, the Red Devils are somehow sixth in a congested Premier League table. Amorim is looking to finish in the European places this term after a disastrous first season in charge saw Man Utd finish 15th in the Premier League. INEOS and Sir Jim Ratcliffe threw their weight behind Amorim in the summer transfer window with over £200m spent on five new players.…

Saudi Arabia’s largest telecoms operator, STC Group, has reinforced its long-term network strategy with a five-year framework agreement with Ericsson, signalling a renewed push to scale advanced 5G capabilities while laying the groundwork for future 6G services. The Master Frame Agreement (MFA) extends a partnership that dates back more than a decade and underpinned some of the kingdom’s earliest 5G deployments. This latest phase reflects a shift in focus from rapid coverage expansion towards network intelligence, automation and service differentiation, which are key pillars of Saudi Arabia’s wider digital transformation agenda under Vision 2030. Rather than a single technology…
