The AFCON final was so completely batsh*t, that neither Senegal’s walk-off nor Brahim Diaz’s awful penalty were the weirdest things to happen… Morocco v Senegal was a ludicrous affair, equal parts harrowing and hilarious. Senegal won the game 1-0 but the continental showpiece requires far greater context than simply the result. So much ridiculousness went down in Rabat. Here are just the top five moments of madness from a chaotic, confusing affair… 5) The press conference We start with a fittingly embarrassing end to the evening… Senegal coach Pape Thiaw walked in to his press conference with a child –…
Widespread concern about the use of creative works to train artificial intelligence (AI) systems has prompted the UK government to begin exploring how the country’s copyright rules can be changed to satisfy the complex, often conflicting demands of both the creative and tech sectors. As it stands, the government is due to publish a report and impact assessment of each of the four options available on 18 March 2026, which were set out in a previous consultation that ran from December 2024 to February 2025. The options being assessed include keeping copyright and related laws as they are; strengthening…
Apple keeps most of its product pricing on a tight leash, but we do see the company’s AirTags go on sale pretty frequently. The lawyers of the owners of a Swiss bar where a deadly fire broke out on New Year’s Eve killing 40 people and injuring 116 have broken their silence to criticise “lies” about their clients. Jessica and Jacques Moretti were “devastated”, the lawyers told local media, but denied being aware of any dangers at their venue.”There is a sort of public vindictiveness directed against them,” one of the three lawyers, Yaël Hayat, said.Initial findings from the investigation suggest the fire began as sparklers attached to champagne bottles ignited soundproof foaming that lined the ceiling of the basement of Le Constellation…

Liverpool have ‘cooled’ their interest in signing Wolves midfielder Joao Gomes but Man Utd could move for him in January, according to reports. The Reds spent over £400m on new signings in the summer transfer window as FSG backed Arne Slot, who won the Premier League title in his first season in charge. However, things have not gone to plan for Liverpool this season with many of their new signings underperforming as the Reds have slumped 14 points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal. Liverpool mainly improved their defence and attack over the summer and it’s likely that some money will be invested…
Attendees of this year’s World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos will be able to use an artificial intelligence (AI) “concierge” from Salesforce within the event’s official mobile app. While the Financial Times has advice for its readers to negotiate Davos physically – with advice to wear sensible shoes for the snow and ice on the pavements, not to stray too far from the main lounge in the congress centre and, this from the FT’s chief economics commentator Martin Wolf, “look out for the ‘Davos moment’ … when you learn something genuinely fresh” – Salesforce is offering a generative AI…

The Red Devils are yet to do any business in this month’s transfer window and there have been conflicting reports on whether they will make a signing or let any players leave. Man Utd have been busy working on their managerial situation as they recently parted ways with former boss Ruben Amorim, while Michael Carrick has been appointed on a deal until the summer. Carrick has had a dream start as…
Having now driven the Fabia 130 on UK roads, the good news is that the chassis is nicely judged. Again, don’t expect Renault Clio RS Cup levels of sharpness here, that was never the point. But even on the all-season tyres that the press office fitted for white reasons evident in the pictures, there’s a good amount of grip and turn-in bite. Set the stability control to the new Sport setting and you can even tease the back out with a well-timed lift of the throttle. The systems can’t be turned off completely but will let you grab an armful of…
