So it gets pushed down the priority list as a problem for later until a preventable disaster forces it back to the top. Now imagine a different scenario. Instead of guessing, you have a clear, structured path to strengthening your…

America’s Big Tech companies may soon learn that saddling up with Donald Trump doesn’t tend to work out in the end. As the president sows chaos and distrust around the globe while taking aim at EU tech regulations, Europe is looking for ways to adopt its own alternatives. The latest example is France, which said it’s dropping Microsoft Windows in favor of Linux. On Wednesday, France said (via TechCrunch) it plans to move its workstations from Windows to the open-source Linux. It’s part of a broader movement across Europe toward digital sovereignty, aimed at reducing reliance on foreign tech — especially…

Burnout among chief information security officers (CISOs) is not just a personal disaster for those concerned. It also constitutes a high, and costly, risk for the business. But in the face of rising threats and limited resources, the problem is “more serious than most people realise until they’re in the seat”, says Martin Astley. He is CISO at central heating services provider 24/7 Home Rescue and a mental health champion. According to Proofpoint’s 2025 Voice of the CISO report, for example, a huge 63% of cyber security leaders have either personally experienced, or witnessed, burnout among their peers over the…
Stellantis is working to more clearly differentiate its brands under new European design chief Gilles Vidal so they “compete more against the real competition” rather than between themselves. The Frenchman returned to the conglomerate in 2025 after a five-year stint with rival Renault, having overseen the production designs of the highly lauded 4, 5 and the new Twingo. He previously made his name as the chief designer of Peugeot during the 2010s, where he introduced a new design language and was involved in the introduction of the i-Cockpit. Now, as the dust settles on his first months back at Stellantis,…
