Mitsubishi has confirmed it will sell the Outlander plug-in hybrid SUV and L200 pick-up truck in the UK when it returns next summer. The two models were key parts of the brand’s line-up before it exited the UK in 2021, and it will surely be hoping to rekindle their success with new generations of each car. The Mk2 Outlander PHEV is a longer, wider and taller proposition than the original, allowing it to offer seven seats for the first time. Image: Zhiyue/Unsplash Tech giant Apple has taken India’s antitrust regulator to court, challenging a new law that could expose the company to a colossal fine of up to $38 billion. The core of the dispute centers on how penalties for anti-competitive behavior are calculated: based on revenue generated only in India, or on the company’s entire global earnings. Apple has filed a 545-page petition with the Delhi High Court, seeking to have the 2024 amendment to India’s Competition Act declared illegal. The amendment, which came into effect last year, grants the Competition Commission of India (CCI) the authority to use…

As with many iPhone users, I tend to upgrade my phone every two years, but this year felt different. My iPhone 15 Pro Max, outside of some minor battery degradation, was hardly a slouch. Using web apps, running a small business from its 6.7-inch display, and taking family photos was just as easy as it was when I bought the phone in 2023, so for the first time in a while, I didn’t feel like I needed to upgrade to Apple’s latest flagship. And yet, as I’m cursed to write about tech for a living, upgrade I did. Brightness…

Anyone hoping for Apple to unleash fireworks at the next WWDC may be disappointed, with early signs pointing to a quieter, refinement-led iOS 27 launch. Echoing the release cycle of OS X Snow Leopard in 2009, which followed the major OS X Leopard overhaul, Apple has reportedly shifted most of its focus to optimising and decluttering the iOS experience. This comes after the significant updates in iOS 26, led by the new unified design language, Liquid Glass.
