Man Utd head coach Ruben Amorim has reportedly made one January transfer request as Fabrizio Romano reveals the truth about their rumoured interest in Tyler Adams. Despite their inconsistent form, which has seen them win just two of their last seven matches, the Red Devils are somehow sixth in a congested Premier League table. Amorim is looking to finish in the European places this term after a disastrous first season in charge saw Man Utd finish 15th in the Premier League. INEOS and Sir Jim Ratcliffe threw their weight behind Amorim in the summer transfer window with over £200m spent…
European Commission’s major reversal comes after intensive lobbying by governments and car makers Combustion-engined cars will be allowed to remain on sale after 2035 in the European Union (EU) under major changes put forward by the bloc’s top legislators. The lifeline for car makers follows intensive lobbying from national governments and some of the industry’s biggest companies, including Volkswagen, Renault, Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Stellantis. More lenient rules drawn up by the European Commission (EC) amend the total ban on new ICE cars that was due to come into force from 2035. The new rules will need formal approval from the European Parliament, however.…
Tottenham centre-back Micky van de Ven has hinted that he and Cristian Romero were effectively given a short player-manager role during Ange Postecoglou’s time at the club. Spurs had a nightmare 2024/25 season under Postecoglou in the Premier League with the Australian’s side finishing 17th in the table. However, Postecoglou did manage to lead Tottenham to their first trophy in 17 years by beating Manchester United in the Europa League final, giving Spurs a place in this season’s Champions League. It was his form in the Premier League which cost him his job with former Brentford head coach Thomas Frank…
The European Union (EU) has firmed up plans for a new class of European-made small electric cars – and will incentivise manufacturers to produce them by offering extra credits against emissions targets. Its legislative arm, the European Commission (EC), has already agreed to work with car makers on the development of a new class of vehicles loosely based on Japan’s kei car class, and has now given first details of them as part of the major new automotive package that pushes back a ban on the sale of new ICE cars. The new class will be for small EVs only and a sub-category of the M1 passenger…
Baldur’s Gate 3 developer Larian Studios revealed Divinity, a new game in its long-running Divinity series that includes 2017’s Divinity: Original Sin II, during The Game Awards 2025 earlier this month. Though we all assumed it, Larian has since confirmed that Divinity will be a turn-based RPG in a new interview with Bloomberg. Speaking to Bloomberg, Larian founder, CEO, and creative director Swen Vincke called the game a “turn-based RPG,” quelling any fears the studio would be experimenting outside of its bread and butter. That said, Vincke also teased the game’s massive scale. “This is going to be us unleashed, I think,”…
After a dramatic end to his second stint at Celtic, Brendan Rodgers has got himself a new job as manager of Saudi Arabian side Al-Qadsiah. The former Liverpool boss has been out of work since leaving Glasgow in October which triggered an incredible scathing attack from shareholder Dermot Desmond. Rodgers had been hinted at for some Premier League, or even Championship, gigs but has now been announced as the new head coach of the Saudi Pro League side. The team, based in Khobar, are fifth in the league but sacked manager Michel at the weekend and are owned by Saudi…

Man Utd midfielder Kobbie Mainoo could be on his way to Real Madrid as the Spanish side are keen to invest in a permanent move, according to reports. The England international has not started in the Premier League for Man Utd this term with Ruben Amorim preferring other players in midfield. Mainoo, who has been linked with a loan move to Napoli, has made 11 appearances off the substitutes’ bench in the Premier League – but his only start in all competitions came as Man Utd were knocked out of the League Cup on penalties by Grimsby Town earlier this year. Amorim announced…
In 1999, a new rule on the use of computer evidence in court was introduced, which unintentionally went on to enable the Post Office to prosecute and destroy the lives of innocent subpostmasters. It was a few years earlier, in 1995, when the Law Commission put out a call for evidence on a proposed change to Section 69 of the 1984 Police and Criminal Evidence Act, which stated that computer-based evidence should be subject to proof that the computer system was operating properly at the time of the alleged offence. The Law Commission wanted feedback on proposals to change…
