By Published: 17 Dec 2025 AI leaves us no other choice but to consolidate cyber security platforms; in 2026, organisations will face AI-driven attacks that adapt in real time. Fragmented security stacks simply can’t keep up, pushing security teams towards consolidated platforms – not for cost savings, but for survival. AI-powered threats will launch dynamic, multi-layered attacks that instantly adjust to defensive actions. Any organisation juggling dozens of disconnected tools, conflicting alerts, and patchy visibility will be outpaced from the start. Why consolidation has become critical Three-quarters of organisations have already started consolidating security vendors because complexity has become…
Liverpool should recall Harvey Elliott from his disastrous Aston Villa loan, according to former Scotland international Don Hutchison. Elliott joined Aston Villa on an initial loan deal with an option to buy for £35million, a move that was supposed to offer regular minutes for the first time in his senior career. Instead, it has become a complete waste of time for everyone involved. Elliott’s pointless 2025/26: The numbers 1 minute played for Liverpool; 98 for Aston Villa 1 Villa start, 2 appearances off the bench Former Liverpool player Hutchison is miffed, like most of us, by Elliott’s lack of minutes…
Only the uppermost Summit trim level will be offered to UK customers, so it’s all massaging ‘eco leather’ seats, 20in wheels, laminated side windows and 14-speaker stereo with speakers in the front headrests. The Tiggo 9 is a full-size seven-seater even accounting for its PHEV components (the likes of the Skoda Kodiaq and Volkswagen Tayron can’t be had as seven-seat PHEVs). There are Isofix anchors on the outer second-row seats, which slide and tilt forwards, if a little stubbornly, to reveal a third row. Room in row two is entirely adult-appropriate; in row three it’s a class-typical sort of situation, suited to smaller travellers only…
There is a pernicious problem in the UK labour market. A horrific gap that blights lives, scars our economy and holds our nation back and yet, despite its scale, it seldom gets a mention in any media. It’s quite simply this – the employment gap for blind and sight-impaired people compared to their non-disabled counterparts. If, like me, you are blind or sight-impaired and of working age in the UK you will only have a 27% chance of being in employment. That compares to 83% if you are non-disabled – more than just “mind the gap”. According to analysis…
Respected journalist David Ornstein has revealed Liverpool’s “full intention” with Mohamed Salah, while a pundit has named his potential next club. Salah‘s long-term future is in doubt as he has suffered a major fall from grace at Liverpool over the past six months. The Liverpool forward was the best player in the Premier League last term, but his form has declined significantly this term, as he has been ineffective in most of his side’s matches. Salah dropped to the bench for three consecutive Premier League matches and Liverpool’s form improved during this run. Still, he hit out at Arne Slot…
BYD will bring PHEV power to the supermini class when it launches the UK’s smallest and cheapest plug-in hybrid next year. The latest addition to BYD’s ranks is described as a B-segment hatchback and will effectively serve as a PHEV alternative to the Dolphin Surf EV, measuring around four metres long and roughly 1.5 metres tall. As such, it will be the smallest plug-in hybrid yet available in the UK, with other electrified options of this size – the Toyota Yaris, Renault Clio and MG 3 to name a few – using full hybrid systems which are typically more space- and…
Image: Adobe Stock The UK government has unveiled a new Women in Tech Taskforce, an initiative designed to break down the systemic barriers that prevent women from entering, remaining in, and leading within the country’s fast-growing technology sector. The taskforce was launched this week by Technology Secretary Liz Kendall, who says closing the gender gap in tech is not only long overdue but critical to the country’s economic future, according to the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT). The taskforce held its first meeting on December 15 and brought together some of the most influential figures in British technology,…
According to reports, Manchester United are ‘ready’ to offload four players in a ‘fire sale’ during next summer’s transfer window. Last season, the Red Devils were embarrassing as they finished 15th in the Premier League and failed to win a trophy. However, they have improved under Ruben Amorim this term. Man Utd‘s positive summer transfer window has helped them, with club chiefs offloading most of their unwanted players to raise funds for their squad overhaul. The exits of Marcus Rashford, Rasmus Hojlund, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho and Jadon Sancho enabled Man Utd to sign Senne Lammens, Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo and…
Ruben Amorim has had more than his fair share of critics in his first 13 months in charge of Manchester United, and he is supposedly far from safe despite there being improvements this season. The under-fire boss deserves credit for ensuring Man Utd are in a better place than they were when he arrived, though this does not make up for the bleak mess of last season. Their positive transfer business has contributed to their improvement, though they have been hamstrung by Amorim stubbornly refusing to waver from his flawed 3-4-3 formation. So, it is refreshing that Amorim has made…
