Paul Scholes has explained why he thinks Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard is a “problem” for Mikel Arteta and could be “killing” a summer signing. In recent months, it has seemed that the Gunners looked set to cruise to a long-awaited Premier League title, but they have looked shaky in recent matches. Mikel Arteta‘s side drew two Premier League games in a row before suffering a rare home loss against Manchester United, who ended their 13-game unbeaten run. With Man City and Aston Villa winning last weekend, Arsenal are now only four points clear at the top of the table after…
We are experiencing a deliberate, and often quiet, roll back of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives within UK businesses which will have long-term damaging effects for the tech sector and wider economy. The implications of these roll backs are, put simply, a reversal in progress and a reinforcement of deep systemic inequality. With pressure to reduce costs and stay afloat in challenging economic times many businesses cite the cost of DEI initiatives and policies as being prohibitive to doing business. This is short sighted. A 2020 study by McKinsey which gathered data from 1,000 organisations revealed that gender-diverse…

Newcastle will take on Qarabag in their Champions League last-16 play-off, while Jose Mourinho’s Benfica face Real Madrid again. Eddie Howe’s side just missed out on automatic qualification after only managing a 1-1 draw with Paris Saint-Germain in their final league phase game. They could have been drawn against either Monaco or Qarabag in the play-off but will face the Azerbaijani side away from home in the first leg on either February 17 or 18 – in what is a long old trip to make between their FA Cup fourth-round clash against Aston Villa and a Premier League meeting with Manchester…
My taste buds became attuned to the sweet tang of forbidden fruit via the Gran Turismo video game. Many a car fan of my generation waxes lyrical about how this game turned them into petrolheads, but the truth is that I loved cars years before first firing up the PlayStation and from a young age I would often remind my parents unprompted, naturally -that the Renault Twingo my auntie owned in France wasn’t for sale in the UK. But Gran Turismo did teach me about not-for-UK models like the Toyota Chaser, Acura Integra, Mazda Eunos Cosmo and Nissan Sileighty, instilling…
Image: SpaceX SpaceX is weighing potential mergers with other companies controlled by Elon Musk as it prepares for what could be one of the largest initial public offerings in history. It’s a move that is forcing investors to reassess how Musk’s sprawling empire of space, AI, and electric vehicles might ultimately fit together. The rocket maker is in discussions to merge with AI startup xAI ahead of a planned IPO later this year, Reuters reported, citing a person familiar with the matter and regulatory filings. Such a deal would combine SpaceX with xAI, which owns the X social media platform…
